Material Superiority: Ruby Muscovite
We utilize high-grade Muscovite ($KAl_2(AlSi_3O_{10})(OH)_2$) sourced directly from the Bihar/Jharkhand Mica Belt. Unlike reconstituted mica, our natural mica components preserve the original crystal lattice of the mineral, offering:
- Exceptional Dielectric Strength: Exceeding 25 kV/mm, ensuring safety in high-voltage environments.
- Thermal Stability: Maintains structural integrity and electrical resistance up to 500°C–600°C without calcination.
- Zero-Defect Clarity: Sorted visually to ensure freedom from iron inclusions that could compromise insulation.
Transistor Mounting Washers & Heat Sink Insulators
In power electronics, efficient thermal management is critical. Components like transistors and diodes generate significant heat and must be mounted to metal chassis (heat sinks) that are often electrically grounded. Our natural mica washers solve this duality by acting as a low-thermal-impedance insulator.
- Function: They allow heat to pass through to the heat sink while blocking electrical current from the "live" component case.
- Precision Thickness: Split to exacting tolerances between 0.002” and 0.005”, creating the thinnest possible barrier for maximum heat transfer.
- Standard Geometries: We utilize high-speed precision stamping to manufacture washers compliant with Global standards, including TO-3, TO-220, and TO-247 TO-3P profiles.
Fabricated Mica Shields (Boiler Gauge Glass)
Beyond electronics, we supply critical safety components for industrial thermodynamics. Our Mica Shields function as sacrificial barriers in the liquid level gauges of high-pressure steam boilers (operating >350 psi).
- Protection Against Hydrolysis: In high-pressure environments, hot alkaline boiler water aggressively corrodes silicate glass. Our chemically inert Muscovite shields prevent this "etching," protecting the glass from thinning and catastrophic rupture.
- Optical Clarity (ASTM D351): We rigorously grade our shields to V-1 (Clear) and V-2 (Slightly Stained) standards. This ensures zero mineral inclusions, providing operators with perfect visibility of the water level meniscus.
- Dimensional Precision: Fabricated to a standard thickness of 0.009” – 0.012”, our shields are die-cut with smooth edges to ensure a perfect seal with gaskets, preventing steam leaks.
The Fabrication Advantage
Processing natural mica is an art. We combine the traditional skill of "rifting" (manual splitting)—essential for maintaining the crystal structure—with modern Tungsten Carbide Stamping. This allows us to deliver parts with clean, burr-free edges that resist delamination during installation.
Whether you need the optical perfection of a boiler shield or the dielectric density of a transistor washer, our natural mica components deliver reliability where it matters most.
